Space Projects Ltd / Toyota – New Retail Concept Design – July 2012
Displaying the versatility of the new modular Toyota Lounge, Space Projects Ltd have now married its new concept within a completely new Toyota centre located in Crawley. With the existing concept starting to show its age, processes, dealer interactions, customer’s requirements, materials and interior detailing have all been revisited. The result is a clean, crisp retail environment reflecting both customers’ expectations of a modern retail experience coupled with a thoughtful, analytical approach to the needs of a highly interactive workforce within the dealership.
The new “transparent” concept reflects the need for customers to see and in turn be seen. With service admin, workshop engineers, parts department and sales persons all afforded clear and easy access to customers, with the process of attending to customers requirements being made much easier.
Through careful design we have cut down on waiting times, queuing, reduced wasteful staff walking distances, improved on product information. Coupled with increased customer visual simulation during service appointments, the design aims to increase customer satisfaction whilst at the same time improving efficiency and productivity throughout the business.
Having worked alongside Toyota (GB) Plc as their design and architectural guardians for over eleven years, Space Projects Ltd are now charged with adapting, refining and project managing the forthcoming nationwide refurbishment in 2012 through to 2014.
