This artwork was derived from a found religious image, a Catholic holy card. I reproduced it through an (archaic) facsimile machine to create the "digital" texture and then blew up to the detail of the head. This step was done many years ago (during the late 1980's) but I then re-used the image to create a photpolymer plate from which I printed a small run of prints on paper in 2009.
