Our FOLDING Classic Adirondack chair is a far cry from the original Adirondack chairs of old. Designed for comfort, style, and convenience, when you slide into one of these 22" wide seats you’ll swear you're sitting on a cloud!
Are all Adirondack chairs the same? No way! The depth of the curvature of the seat, the length and width of the seat, the thickness of the back supports behind the slats, the distance between the ground and the seat, the degree of curvature of the back, the height of the arm rest, the length and width of the arm rest, the width of the slats, the angle of the seat, the folding mechanism, the type of screws, nuts and bolts used, (and the list goes on…) all affect the feel and comfort of an Adirondack chair.
There are so many improvements on this chair over what we've seen out there that they are too numerous to list. Do yourself a favor and don't compromise on anything. Check out some of our standard features:
only full 1" thick Clear Western Red Cedar components,
FOLDS for easy transportation and storage,
stainless steel screws, nuts and bolts (NO glue or staples),
wide arm rests with TWO supports under each arm to prevent splitting,
level arm rests so you can also rest your drinks on them without it sliding back,
super sleek locks on the folding mechanism of our Adirondack chairs instead of big, ugly knobs you see on other chairs that can break, fall out or get lost,
extra wide kickplate on the front of the chairs to provide exceptional left-to-right dimensional stability,
5 screws holding each back slat instead of the traditional 2 or 3, AND we screw them in from the back so you don't see them,
4 screws in each seat slat instead of the traditional 2
