Artist's note:
I decided I'd like to create a piece that featured Heron or stalk like birds. I also knew that I wanted to give them organic headdresses or masks. This led on to thoughts of ceremony or secret gatherings and eventually on to the idea of forbidden lovers meeting late at night in secret at the waters edge. They are carrying trinkets as gifts for one another and are intertwined having not seen each other since the last full moon.
